i try to set up my chase credit card account for online
use. however, there is not chase bank provided in the pull
down list with banks????? there are hundreds of banks but
why not chase????

There are these Chase banks listed:
JPMorgan Chase Bank (Texas)
JPMorgan Chase Bank

, but not credit cards it would seem. If they want their cards
listed, they can contact

Your only option then is to download the current transactions from the
chase card website. My Discover card does automatic downloads of new
transactions but for all my other cards and bank accounts, I must
download a QIF file or specific Money format file. Money 2003 and
2004 seem to know the file has been dowloaded (choose Open) when
prompted. For some of the downloads, I have to tell Money which
account to import it into.

Once imported, visit the account and you will have to accept the
imported transactions. It really does work quite well retaining
previous category allegations and also renaming payees for you to
something cleaner then how the credit card stores them.
